Two Three sections of TEFL program finished and three two more to go. The first (main) lesson plan was for intermediate high school level. The Young-Learner lesson plan seemed a little less involved but planning the activities, practicing timing, and creating handouts actually took more effort. My hat is off to anyone that teaches the under-6 crowd!!!
three two I have left to work through are: Business English, TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS and Hospitality.
Maybe these wouldn’t take quite so long if I wasn’t trying to make somewhat original lesson plans. I still scour the internet for ideas, though, and I’m trying to remember to put up links to any helpful sites I’ve found. So far, it’s taken about 6 or 7 weeks of work to read through all of the TEFL materials, links, and examples…then create the main lesson plan/handouts and the TEYL lesson plan/handouts. I’m not in a major rush and learning by doing is the best way for me so I keep plugging along and hope all of these lessons will actually work well in the real world. The TEFL Educator feedback has been extremely constructive, detailed, and helpful.
I’m guessing that the next three sections will take me about 2 more weeks since I have outlines for all of them already.
Duplicate university diploma arrived today. Took about 3 weeks to receive from the day I mailed my order form/check.
